In retrospect, Aye Verb would have been the best top tier mark for Syah. Syah would have outrapped and outperformed an uninspired Verb, and it would have been worth talking about for a little bit.

instead, aye verb will be performing live in the venue

I don't think Syah would beat a "light" Verb.

Verb was "light" in 2014 & only lost clearly to the white emcees because he had no material. He was coming to battles with 2 rounds winning the first 2 rounds & giving away the third (which made these battles debatables in the fans eyes).

Danny came in rapping his heart out against Verb & still lost the battle.

Even an uninspired Verb doesn't lose clearly unless you come with one of the best performances of your career (K-shine).

I've been dogging Verb all year, but unless he just comes to these rounds choking, he usually leaves unscathed.

I think his material against Surf was decent, but these nyggas where rapping at like 2 am so what can you really expect?

I listened to JC on AFR I wonder if he's too much of a lyrical scientist to do what it takes to beat a top tier with good performance.

His whole stance on bars vs performance is noble, but it's just not the way most battle fans see things.

Another problem is JC has such respect from his peers, these top tier guys come in & take him seriously. He's not gonna get an uninspired version of a top tier guy.

I just didn't like his excuses. "Oh the Yung Ill battle, things got messed up, etc." He has to learn how to make things work given the circumstances.
