I'm thinking about watching the Tay Roc & DNA battles to really dig into it. I feel like his Tay Roc material was better, I'm really going to have to look at the footage to see what aspects he has improved in between the Roc & DNA. I also wonder if I'm being to harsh in writing him off a little. Maybe he was uninspired by the idea of battling DNA. DNA clearly was uninterested in battling him. He's somebody who definitely needs to battle one of these top rookies, he needs to feel threatened.
I don't think his breath control can be fixed. He's rapping in a voice that isn't his regular talking voice, so he's always straining it. Maybe he just needs to get more comfortable with using his talking voice on stage.

I think you may come to a similar conclusion as me regarding his Tay Roc performance at least... He delivered the personals damn near flawlessly.. but he didn't use the momentum. He could have bodied those rounds if he rode those properly. Got me wanting to watch it again.

As for his cardio situation, I hear what you're saying regarding him straining, but I think he can definitely fix it with some cardio and practice. He'd have to practice his bars basically screaming the way he does on stage. Landlord would prolly put noise complaints on the nikka tho. On stage he reminds me of them little kids who get the spotlight and forget to do basic shyt like unclench their hands and actually breathe.

I knew I wasn't bugging. Brizz's material for Tay Roc was pretty good. That's an underrated battle. Much better than DNA v Brizz.

I think he knows he's funny, he just doesn't utilize the humor enough. He's probably scared of how people will perceive him. There were a couple years where some Smack rappers were deathly afraid of being funny in battles. Everyone was trying to distance themselves from the Grind Time style so we had the whole "jokes aren't bars" phase. I could see Brizz being stuck in that mindset, he seems to have a "keep it real/represent" type of vibe.
