charlie was in that convo for 8 months(time between Rex battle and Hollow) because after the Surf 3-0 and the Rex bodybag he had nikkas believing in this 100% Clips myth, the whole "charlie could be GOAT" argument was ALWAYS based on the belief of a 100% clips hidden somewhere and had everyone anticipating it.
the second Hollow and Lux proved he wasn't in that class he became just another top tier nikka
and when we talking about regular top tier nikkas Hitman, Surf, and Ars got bigger fanbases and more memorable moments than clips
People forgot about O-Red entirely after that battle. That's why it doesn't get talked about. He was top 10, and possibly even in some top 5's before he battled Big T at SM3. He won at SM3 but he wasn't impressive at all. Then Hitman spanked him a few months later & it was over for his top tier status. Before SM3 O-Red had gone on that run where he washed Rosenburg Raw, Big Kannon, X-Factor, Calicoe, Ms. Hustle & T-Rex. His only misstep during that run was the blah one rounder with Aye Verb, where he wasted 1 outta his 4 minutes doing a translation.

Clips is trash to me. Always will be. Will Smith said something a while back on BET. He said he would be the vest battle rapper ever. He went on to explain that if someone came with talk about guns he'd kill them with comedy. Clips became that person. He bullshyts through every battle and jokes the entire time, even through the opponents rounds. People overlook his short comings which he himself recognizes because he apologizes in damn near every other battle. Challenge, find all of his apology verses abs compile them. Those are the battles he's admitting he lost. Jones washed him, but people talking about a stretch mark bar like it crushed the building, it didn't. B Magic beat him, but he made an excuse for it in the Tay Roc 2 battle. Hollow killed him, but he called it a "scratch on the chin". You're kidding right? Lux BBQ'd him with so many bar patterns it was ridiculous. But he's in his next battle with Suge making excuses while giving us a trash performance. This dude is garbage. Stumbles through all rounds, can't commit to actually finishing slogans while trying to create them on a whim, paints illusions of winning when he didn't, enough has been enough. He needs to go away.

Unpopular Opinions About Battle Rap
As much as you nikkas can hate on Clips, that dude has a talent in battle rap that very few still have. And did Clips clearly lose to Lux and Hollow? Arguably. Even though people get fed up with the no 3rd rounds, freestyles, and etc., he still made it to damn near the top and never back down from the toughest opponents. If anything, if he ducked the people you claim he lost to, he wouldn't be in a good ranking or even talked about in the very least.
Clips has been considered one of the best for a long time. He eventually got to the point where he was going for those legend spots.
That's all there is to it.
I'm arguing for a guy I don't even care for like that.
