You know what, Tsu Surf vs. X-Factor ruined my perception of Surf. I kept hearing about Surf everywhere but never caught a battle of his until I saw that battle. And I heard him and was like "this is it?". He wasn't bad but he overall seemed overhyped to me and I felt like X low key was grillin' him at the time. And I felt like Surf was running out of breathe in rounds 2 and 3 off the first few watches.

Now Tech 9 going up against Miles, I get it somewhat. If I can recall what everyone was saying about it, fans and etc, were saying that no one would've beat Tech that night. He was once a crowd favorite and rocked the the stage with his approach to Miles. Definitely not bar for bar written in the most clever way but the shyt was a crowd pleaser in that event.

I honestly wasn't impressed with a Surf battle until he battled Big T. Up until that point, I thought he was generic as fukk.

I'll be honest, I've never been a Tech 9 fan but I understand the appeal he had and that SM1 crowd was probably the most volatile crowd URL have had so it makes sense that his first round had everyone amped up. I still think there were better ones that could have gone in its place though.

Word, Surf did do better in that Big T battle even though he lost.

Tech was kinda on some Martin Lawrence shyt in that battle. I think that's what worked in his favor for real.

Big T's first round vs Shine should have made that list.

This is one of the best big stage rounds I have ever seen. Just ridiculous.

Hitman vs Todd wasn't on there either.

One round I don't see mentioned much is Math's first round against Verb. I'm just not big on Math, but THAT round right there was nasty.

At home Verb is in his bag....its damn near a given Tay would get dragged BADLY

Anywhere outside of the Lou', Lux still beats Verb any day of the week though....in his next showing he might turn it up to anotha level (aint did that since Hollow)

No Lux vs Verb or Goodz. Stop pushing for that shyt. Those battles do absolutely nothing for Lux.

Verb, particularly THIS Verb, isn't going to compete with Lux.

SMH @ him always complaining about New York crowds though. Roc ain't even a New Yorker. And it seems sometimes like he doesn't understand why all (vast majority) of the battles are in NY.

I completely agree. Surf vs X Factor was the worst battle on that NOME card and besides Surf's opening and X saying suspect shyt, I can't remember anything from that battle.

Tech 9 shouldn't have made that list either. I'm not as mad at Mook's inclusion because I agree with Chris' logic about Mook starting the "Smack called my phone" bars.

B-Magic's first against Chilla should have also made the list. That's probably the best display of several B2B punches landing that we'll ever see on the URL stage.

It's funny you say Mook started the "Smack called my phone" when Jones said it before him in the very same battle. :mjlol:

Nah so far Verb in the Lou is STILL a problem for anybody.....it would depend what Lux we get in that setting, he took it real light vs Clips, so idk what he would decide to do for Verb.

Lux smart enough to know Verb can still get busy
