That Clips performance would bag Ars

Ars is a legend and all that but he's ass

Mook is light on bars but a heavy angler, Ars is not. He's a disrespectful battler with bad punchlines and great delivery and performance

To beat Lux you need a good angle of attack. He can't bar with him, so he's gonna have to angle him and that's not his skill set

Ars has two ways of winning: Lux chokes or he brings up some crazy stuff nobody knows and wins by shock factor in the building

At the end, Lux is gonna win once it comes out and you watch it because his rhymes are gonna be super layered and we're in the bar era so even if Ars wins live he's gonna lose on camera badly.

I guess I'm a bit bothered by the idea that Lux is getting "a pass". This is his gift, no one else is coming at their opponent like him. That's what makes the extra listens worthwhile.
Dude writes really well, it's not that disjointed bullshyt that Daylyt spits. It's really just Lux and Quantum Physics at that level of depth, most of these other "over the head" battlers are butchering the english language. And Quantum's disses just don't have the bite that Lux's have.

So I respect that Lux earned his status through his unique and impressive skill set. But I feel that if Lux had two or three battles a year, even if all were the quality that we're talking about, that patience with and appreciation for his style would fall off significantly. I don't think Lux is immune to the battlerap fan flame-out that many have seen.

For example -- take one of the battlers who had crazy runs over the course of like 12-18 months and space it out over three+ years. Those battles would have wild replay value and the bars would probably be remembered differently. I know those guys were "paying dues" and whatever else, but I maintain that increased exposure leads to reduced appreciation and patience. The "shock" value and hype is gone and the shine wears off.

Lux has been doing it perfectly, so all my thoughts are hypothetical.

I have heard that Roc/Hollow isn't the biggest battle on the card

I don't see how there's a bigger battle than that. Could be bdot vs the saga? Probably some old fakkit coming back.

I like lux but he's an abstract artist on stage at this point, setups long as hell and coded and obscure. It's beautiful but not for someone who just wants to hear someone talkin that shyt. And a lotta fans treat getting lux bars like a James Joyce novel they put on their shelf for company to see

Great point about battling more than he does. We'd all get tired.

B Magic could have been one of these guys if he battled twice a year and came with Chilla type performances every time. Instead he started coming with one and a half hot rounds, then one round, then no rounds all chokes :mjcry:
