True top tiers in general haven't been that good lately but you can somewhat attribute that to taking too many battles. Hitman took almost three years off between Surf and Suge and another 5 months between that and Double Impact and the Suge performance was decent and DI performance was mediocre.

True. But I also think, for certain battlers, too much time between battles can hurt more than it helps. While some benefit from long ass breaks, other nikkas come back rusty

T-Rex might still be the biggest ticket seller on URL for live events though. NOME sold out faster than any URL card in years with Rex headlining.

Double Impact still had 300-400 tix available the day the event was going down with Hitman, Math, Verb, Goodz, Clips, K-Shine all on the card

I disagree, it's not THAT hard to make a 2 on 2 important. Not having Guntitles was a big blow.

Guntitles vs Verb and Hitman would have packed Irving Plaza.

The names matter, the matchups matter.

Clips and Goodz v NWX is a more easier battle to promote.

Goonies vs the Cakes makes perfect sense, and would be something that the WeGasHard generation wants to buy a ticket to see.

If they could have coerced Rex & Shine to do a 2 on 2 vs anyone nyggas would HAVE LOST THEIR MINDS and URL would have ate lovely.

Compare NOME with Rex headlining to the last 4 big URL events then. Beasley himself said Rex maineventing sold out the event because it basically sold out before they announced another battle

I know where you are going with this, but there is no comparison between a 2on2 event and a nome. If you want to compare another nome event rex isn't on, that's cool but a double impact?

i think time off hurts performers more because they have to tap back into an energy they haven't used in a long time

pen guys usually come back spitting crazy for atleast the first 2 battle

Roc is way beyond Hollow as a rapper. How does a battle rapper who makes terrible music critique a guy for rapping and get paid for it?

Unfortunately integrity isn't rewarded in this game. The leagues and top tiers know what the fans respond to, and work from that.
