You know, like a year and a half ago, I had a few posts talking about how lux is given the win in the room and on first watch despite a significant portion of his bars going over heads. Dudes in here defended it on some "maybe that's just you not catching the bars" and came to Lux defense like I was speaking ill of the savior.

Now it's fully accepted and commonly discussed. What changed?

Diz goaded him into saying it by verbally threatening to do it, Math was keeping it rap before that and we all know if someone says I should punch you then do it is the default response unless you swing, plus weeks of WWE promos about what would happen if Math gets tough in LA ,he was looking for an opportunity because it was the only setting where he'd get away with it

There is truth to this, but I think a lot of those with star power are the ones that have the charisma to make almost anything sound cool by how they say it, Lux is just one of the only pen game battlers to have it to that extent

battle rap fans (or people on the internet in general) have a hard time changing their opinion or admitting they were wrong about something

most these nikkas just say Lux won because they think that if they have him losing and then someone else breaks down the bars, they'll look stupid and have to admit "i had lux losing because i wasn't smart enough to understand what he was saying"

it's insecurity if you ask me it's safer to just say Lux won and hope the breakdown of his bars validates your opinion later down the line

Chess was supposed to battle Surf at SM? SMH I didnt know that but Nah..
He didnt deserve that.

I just gave URL Props for bringing the Vets back but.. Thats not a matchup I wanna see on a SM.

No excuses for the frequency of chokes this guy has. DNA was coming with clean rounds every time out when he was Chess age. Wasn't Calicoe 18/19 when he battled Yung ill too? Miss me with the "he's young" angle

They need to bring Myers and ored back. Myers is crazy to me now. I was trying to watch the recording battle and he was trash. During and after the chilla battle though he's been on another planet.
Ored is probably paying people to write raps and picking the best lines cause he's leaving earth these last 2 years.

You not wrong here, but we've seen URL put Rex on a few NOME/SM cards after he literally didn't have a single good showing for years before. I know these two dudes are different cloth, but it wouldn't surprise me if they can get a a redemption-ark type of machine buzzing for Chess; remind everyone of his "legendary" rounds, and put him on big cards.

Chess is the best present day battlerap example of a dude who has highs (or whatever) that are so memorable, that the fukkness is accepted as part of the deal. Daylyt early 2010s shyt.
