Tech be talking that shyt.

I still blame the url for "everybody sounding alike" during that phase where they recruited nothing but WGH nyggas. We are talking about a league where damn near everyone sounded the same. Lazy ass recruiting that Mickey spoke about on angryfan either earlier this year or last year.

@wizworld
I know you've always fukked with WGH. The league doesn't look or feel the same since Steams took over. I've never been the biggest fan, but I did like that all battles were in house.

I think WeGoHard is trying to get to a place where they can generate revenue & pay their talent. They did PPV for the event where they paid well known battlers. There's no reason for URL to be the end all be all for the WeGoHard guys when they already have their own community. Look at guys like Dougy & Gwitty who flopped on URL, but are still pretty dope in this environment. Mr. Wavy would probably still be dope on WGH. It's a unique environment, so I think the big name guy vs our guy battles might work out better for them than they do for other "small" leagues.

I generally skip the battles with names I don't recognize. I can always come back to them if these guys gain a bigger buzz.

This is their latest drop and it's an entertaining battle if you mess with 2 on 2's. lol at Saga in here backsliding... this was before he left NWX

Its a reach. He has like 10 kids lol and invests too much into battle rap etc etc.

Danny has about 30 kids and gave Rex 12 racks for a battle. We can just connect the dots lol.

Why can't my man Daniel have a great job? I don't even think bdot said that :mjlol:

Bruh Danny will bark on lux.

What happened?

I skipped to the part I was referring to.
Basically just some Brooklyn nyggas going from 0-100 over perceived disrespect. I just see that as some real BK shyt. Uptown dudes talk shyt back and forth when they have an issue, BK dudes might not say anything until they're about to flip out lol. It's so random because no one tried to tell dude to chill the first 30 minutes of the battle.

That sound alike shyt is dead

Unless its pgs who havent made it to the main stage

Aight, y'all may not feel me on this shyt but I have to say this: to a degree (the key phrase), I say fukk the main stage. I feel like between the fans being pretty much displeased with so much talent, the events, and the leagues, the main stage NOW seems to have more problems that fans can pick out than I remember. When the battles drop, aside from maybe editing issues or whatnot, the crowd noises fukk shyt up, there's some weirdo time issues that get blown out of proportion, and the possibility of drama to pop off on the main stage with so many people up there. Some of these smaller room events seem to give us better battles and it allows for some of these guys to flex against their opponent.

With that said, and I'm asking this to get a different view, why do you some of you guys feel the main stage is always that important? Don't talk to me about bags and careers. I get that. Give me something else from this because I'm 50/50 on some of these main stage battles right now and I'm not just sayin' URL.

I wasn't trying to attack your point. all the people you named don't sound the same to me. i just think all this talk of the main stage got me thinking again like....what the fukk is special about the main stage when there are some obvious problems that haven't been tackled yet for the PGs to look forward to aside from money and the spotlight?

main stage is a bigger testing ground, some moments feel special rather than feeling like a dope bar at that time. example DNA telling Smack to GTFOH, the way they had the camera pan out to show the entire venue going crazy and making it literally look like it shook the building.

compare that to Ryda scorpion stance bar...it got great crowd reaction and brought the battle to a halt...but it just felt like a dope haymaker rather than something special

I disagree.

The URL is an eastcoast based league. A lot of their eastcoast talent sound very similar. It isn't like the era when you have guys like Mook and Rex, two guys in the exact same crew that sound absolutely nothing alike. Look at NYB. Hollow, Cortez, and Math. These guys sounded nothing alike.

I will give you an example. Chess and Steams. They don't really sound alike, but they sound alike.

Even with those names you mentioned, I can hear the similarities. Mike P and NJT both use that Prez Mafia aggression. Rum Nitty goes over so well, because he sounds like a WGH rapper. Ryda is pretty much a generic east coast battler.

Yeah a few have their own distinct style (brizz, top, ill will), but their a lot of similarities within the URL talent.
