Leagues themselves tend to be more reliable than the actual battlers; also, it makes sense because the leagues feed you while the battlers don't, as a consumer. For example, I support the NBA, I'm not really a fan of any particular player.

Smack started it all, there is no denying that.
However, for years the URL completely neglected the midsize and small rooms. Their emphasis was on the big stage, which is where they recycled top tiers, and the pg’s.
I don’t know if y’all remember, but i kept asking what happened to cards like Revelations which were dope?
I do think RBE incorporating these things has motivated the URL to get back them.
Lux says he fights his own fights. He realizes that every battle is different, therefore he is not going to dismiss a jc battle. He never completely dismisses a Verb battle either.
I think the bigger problem with a lux/jc battle is the gap in popularity. For someone who tries to make the biggest battles, lux/jc is not a big battle. It’s a battle for the fans. He doesn’t have a big name, which why I would always have my doubts about the battle.
They would have to actually be in front of each other for me to believe lux would give a mid tier a guy like jc a shot.
