Yeah battlerap is really the last frontier when it comes to pure hip hop. It adheres to the rules (biting is looked down upon, lyricism comes first), so real MCs will no doubt love modern battlerap.

Seeing Jada, Ghost, meth and other celebs show love to battle rap is always dope to see Smack even said one time that whenever he takes too long to drop battle, Ghostface gives him a call

Happened to rewatch rex/diz cause of roc/diz, the perception on cam is that is was awful, which I agree, but when people left the building, people thought diz did ok, his first two rounds they didnt boo, he got booed when he started rambling in the 3rd but then got it back with a freestyle. I remember even swave did a recap with diz winning 2-1, when I left I had diz 2-1 winning the first two but on cam I gave rex the first. but even people that had rex didnt think it was a body in the building, to be fair, about 70 percent left after surf/hollow, so it was mostly die hards who stood who are probably less likely to boo, he mightve gotten destroyed if it was a full crowd. But just saying, perception changed completely on cam

I saw Battle Rap Slave say that, my homie never told me that so I can’t vouch for the authenticity of that but Battle Rap Slave also said Mike P vs Suge and I know that Battle is happening for a fact so he’s probably right

Thank you for saying this. Because when it first dropped, nikkas gave Diz props for battling Rex. And apparently, he was entertaining the crowd in the building. But now, so many people tore him a new one for that battle not only on cam but also in the building. I always thought it was just me who peeped that.

I saw quite a few reports where folks were like that battle was cool and Diz did get the crowd on his side for the beginning. And now, everyone just writes off what he did that night so its kind of conflicting. Or nikkas hate Diz that much and say he didn't do shyt. Or just time went on and perceptions change. I dunno. I always wondered about that.

Long night for Iron. fukk this match up. I actually think Iron is like, 10x the writer/battler Rum is, but the fans from his era didnt want to see him vs an ass cake Mook. No way these new 24 yr old Adidas NMD wearing ass nikkas gone let him win. Especially against a hot commodity like Rum. At least not in the building. Any other league Rum wouldnt stand a chance.

After Mook, I don't want to see Iron on SMACK URL. He is a good fit on KOTD. Worked his way up and gave us a few classics with some big names. Maybe he'll do good if he is on that card but I honestly don't want to see him on there. Mike P vs. Suge? I dunno. Not a match up I think that makes sense given that he has to run the fade with either B Dot or Young Kannon but hey, it might be a good battle. Just odd as fukk.
