This is definitely not a popular opinion, but I prefer the Saga over Loso.

In fact, I still think Bdot vs Saga would have been the better battle.

They really tried to force Bdot/loso as a classic, but it definitely wasn’t.

Speaking of Loso man, I just don’t see what the big deal is about this guy. I just don’t see it.
Thought I was the only one. I literally agree with everything you said in this post

This is why I was never onboard with all the “barfest” rappers. All of those generics punchlines age horribly and some of those battles are borderline horrible now.
Barfests usually have the most replayability tho :jbhmm:

It's the joke/angle dependent joints i can only watch 1 or 2 times before they get stale imo

I completely disagree. Aside from JC/Chilla and a couple others, bar fest are one and done for me

I can't even get through Ave vs. Rum anymore like that. It gets boring after awhile.

:manny: i listen to em the same way i listen to bar heavy songs
See bar heavy songs are different. Because there's a beat, and usually the rapper is switching flows and delivery. With battles, it's literally just complex bars but nothing changing to keep my interest.

That's why I think Lux is my favorite because he incorporates bars with breakdown opponents with delivery and performance. He has everything. Hollow would be high on my list if he didn't have so many corny lines and his voice wasn't annoying. But he's another one that does everything.

Two of my top 5 are mainly just bar guys (JC and Rum Nitty), so I do understand your point.

depends on who the artist is, i heard a mix of Brizz's rounds vs. Showoff over a jazzy beat and that shyt sounded crazy :wow:

i don't need flows tho the wordplay is enough

and yea lux the only guy who can rap about anything and still have replayable bars all the way through

Verb's aura was crazy.
I remember a point when a lot of people wanted something bad to happen to him, just cause. Some dudes from NYC straight up resented him.
Diz dealt with it once, which is the story of the Swave battle. Hollow talked about how uncomfortable he was vs Verb in St. Louis, and how random people were threatening him. Verb dealt with it, over and over.
Nowadays you worry about choking, back then you had to worry about getting choked out.
I don't think any battler will ever be under that much constant pressure. And Verb embraced it, up until losing to Clips.

Watching Rome destroy Jimz again...

It's safe to say Rome vs Chris Unbias would have eventually happened.

Chris went and did what he did, and robbed the culture of a potential classic.

You good? Do you feel dehydrated at all?

Between the Lux v Miles 1st round thing and this.....

Lool I'm good fam . I just feel Verb is highly overrated , all this 'Leader of the Midwest Movement' talk I hear is revisionist history .
