I think Lux is too skilled to ever get support.

Mook is kind of different. He’s an effective battle rapper, but Busta would never feel threatened by him as a rapper.

Joe never felt threatened by Surf as a rapper.
Lu coulda got lux on his albums and it wouldnt have felt out of place lyrically

Ab Soul too

Random: did the video footage of Soul vs. Day ever drop? It was pretty good imo

Listening to the Hollow/JJDD faceoff.

The Hollow/Diz battle has passed. Do KOTD fans still want to see that?

I think that one rounder actually hurt the battle, along with Diz losing clearly to Tay Roc.

Your missing the point.

It’s not about feeling out of place. It’s about taking a guy under there wing that they may not be heads and shoulders better than as far as rapping.

Nah I still don’t think you get what I’m saying. Emcees tend to take guys under the wing that they are clearly better than in their mind.

FYI he has a song with Lupe called Punchlines.

We are talking about a real push. Not just a song.

That song was meh in comparison to some of the others BUT I get where Hollow is coming from. It is pretty tripped out that Lux isn't signed like Mook is to a deal with Busta. He has the name somewhat from battle rap and his music does make some head way.
Battle rappers are too focused on being nice. 69, Lil Pump, and Quavo are dominating the urban hip hop charts. Not Lupe, Joey Badass, and Budden :russ:

You got to be a good trash rapper to make it commercially. Most people have like a 8 sec attention span they aren't trying to hear bars.

Gucci gang, gucci gang, gucci gang, gucci gang :skip:

Diz doesn't say the N word and have all the fukkery at the end of that battle, and people would still wanna see three more rounds of it.

shyt man, keep it indie and I mean, true indie not that joint with a major shyt, and get the right kind of good ass promo and PR, you can make it happen. Lux has the grassroots battle rap following combined with recognition from major artists in the industry. But you right, battle rappers are focused on being nice more than the charts. I say fukk the charts because they can be rigged more anyway but that's a whole other topic.

Salute to Hennyman for highlighting this round.

Calicoe changed the whole perception of Pat Stay, re-routed dude's whole career with this round.

And I never really thought much of the fact that Cal is wearing a grey hoodie :ohhh:

Does Pat have a chance at a comeback?
