It's really Murda Mook world out here right now.
URL was dropping cards left and right, killing everything, everywhere.
KOTD has an event coming up with an NYC battle rap legend coming back vs Head Ice. Eminem just name dropped KOTD in a song.
But Murda Mook shook up the whole game. Joe Budden & Meek Mill want to talk about battle rap now. Omar Epps talking about Mook's return. The battlers themselves are excited about Mook's comeback. Surf is running around out here like an excited puppy, just peeing all over the house. Verb gets to do what he does best, which is talk trash. Many of the top name battlers are actively talking trash right now, which is a good thing.
Even the weirdo bloggers are all back to form.
We can all debate his skill level, his win loss record, how memorable his material is, etc. But he has proved that his name is what he says it is. There's a grip of people who will dedicate themselves to talking about this battle tirelessly for months.
Verb is reborn between now & the Mook battle. I hope he uses the time wisely, his music deserves more ears. Mook didn't pick Verb without a plan though.

the real test is afterwards. mook has to be able to show his face on some battle rap blog without shame, win or lose, after this battle. all this electricity could easily backfire and he wont battle again until he's 56

Verb getting a little too sensitive. Everybody ain’t against him. I get he uses it for motivation but sometimes he plays the victim card too much
If URL wants him on Summer Madness then they'll have to book him before this battle even happens. If he doesn't have his next battle booked before this one happens, then I might have to take back most of the praise I've been giving him. But let's be real, he picked an opponent that doesn't seem to be motivated to compete. With that in mind, he can't sit on a win vs Aye Verb either. He has to battle a bigger name shortly thereafter.
