There is no right/wrong in this situation in my opinion, he fully depends on your personal status and situation. When you’re top of the food chain you’re essentially in a spot where you can set one price and it’s meet it or beat it (pause). When you’re the challenger so to speak there’s nothing wrong with wanting more money to go against the champ than against another challenger.
I feel you, we can't just say Surf is "wrong" in how he's handling negotiations. But Surf's actions since he's gotten out kinda feed into the idea that he's overplaying his hand.
These new battlers are so hungry they don't understand how to market and promote themselves properly.
Out of the new wave only Wavy, Wess and Snake are really doing it correctly, not hoeing themselves out on AFM/Black Compass/15MoFe/CHAMPION, taking a limited amount of battles, not relying on a crew and being fire for the most part every time.
We definitely need another tournament for one these guys to really cement himself as a top tier like Top and Will did.

Good for him. I had no interest in Aye Verb v Mook prior to the battle being booked, but now I've psyched myself into caring. If we're looking at Verb's end, what are we hyped off of? Some funny tweets? A good blog? Him becoming a good music artist? His weight loss? The hype damn sure isn't about watching him rap on the RBE stage.
RBE is the same platform where Verb lost to TWO white boys for money and had a dildo waved in his face. At least Mook is coming to win.
Verb is also the first dude on RBE whose hairstyle ruined the replay value of a battle. What was he thinking? I hope he was able to wash all of that shyt out at the end of the night.
Somehow I'm still hyped, I can't be mad at Mook about it.

I dunno, if I was Mook and I saw Surf cutting his rounds short like he was in his past few battles and he asked for the same amount because he said he feels like he is just like me...and I'm the one giving the look to be honest...I'd feel like it might not happen. I've said Mook is overrated but one of the best things about Mook is that he has never cut his verses short and gave up on a battle. Surf on the other hand...I mean, we've talked about it before. So that's my take on it.
