Yeah but that’s not really why this is happening. It’s because one guy wanted to produce so many songs in a short time span.

Besides, to be honest, with the attention span of today’s consumers and the short shelf life of new music, shorter songs and albums may be the future because there isn’t real incentive in putting together long masterpieces anymore. People forget about them after a week anyway.

I understand what it is. Kanye produced 35 songs and is wanting to put out a series of albums.

Short songs aren't very memorable and it's a silly trend but I get it. These guys can't put together three verses. Instead of getting a feature, they are cool releasing a song with a couple of verses.

At this point it doesn't really matter to me. I'm cool with listening to music I grew up on or discovering old classic r&b/soul music from past eras.

You think those Bigg Ks can BEAT this Iron Solomon that battled Nitty and Chilla? Idk breh

Notice I said maybe for most of them. I said the Bigg K that battled Thesaurus because he was on the rise then in KOTD. AND EVEN THEN, that may not be enough. I don't want to count him out completely because when he has an angle with punches, he is dangerous. But Iron got his mojo back. Even after the Illmac loss, which wasn't too bad, he was on his shyt. So we'll see.

I feel like Organik is somewhere kicking himself in the ass for not booking this. Lol.

I think it’s a sign for me that although a great writer, it’s not easy for him to create material. His music and battles have consistently been short. That’s just my theory though.

The difference between him and your typical artist is that he’s not flooding the albums with guest appearances to make the song longer.

This trend of short songs & these recent string of 7 song albums is absolutely terrible imo.

A quality artist should at least be able to come up with 12-14 tracks of solid material.

Verb is just careful probably when he makes music. I think he goes between what to use in his music and what to use in his battles.

And muthafukkas are only with that trend because Ye's crazy ass decided to do that. Artists have been doing that but mostly calling them EPs and some of them called them albums.

I'd say closer to 10 to 12. I don't mind 14 or even 15 but 20 is really pushing it. And it depends on if there are skits or not.

He should know from the failed Philly comeback that this style needs to stay in 2008.

Lol That clip is better than 90% of the garbage unoriginal battles/battlers we’ve seen since SM2..

I knew Ice had a league but Lionz Den was the big thing back then
