Julian Carter will go down as a legend. Despite his flaws on the big stage, this is his 3rd Summer Madness selection, the same amount as Math Hoffa.

He has a more consistent fan base than all of the other pen guys.

He has arguably the greatest small room battle of all time.

He has a standout style and sound. He sounds like he could be a teacher, preacher, or a politician. I believe that is the source of his "star power", because he's obviously not a great performer.

His material ages well imo, I just watched JC vs Luciano Crakk and his bars sounded fresh.

He can get 100k views battling in the stock room at the Gap.

He just replaced Tsu Surf on Summer Madness and battle fans were HYPED.

Not a fan of the matchup but I realize now ARP is about to have shyt lit again. The faceoff between Millz & Shine is going to be legendary, and that's even if they don't really know each other.

I agree. I was worried that he might be washed up lowkey, but he just needs the right motivation. He has to cut back on the homo references though. He's getting up there with X-Factor. How many people in the culture get hyped over bars about men getting violated in that fashion? How many Don Demarco's were given to bars about gay shyt? You have to think he's going to second guess pushing that button.

I just don't understand why he was so adamant about getting the chain unless he was burned out & is okay with 1 or 2 battles a year.

It definitely is not the worst thing to happen to Ice at all. You ask what it’s done for him. I ask what was so great about what Ice was doing before he got it or what is so great about his trajectory if he never won it.

I'm sayin' tho. Why do I have to watch one of the OGs on KOTD now? I always hated that shyt. I like the fact that Head ICE showed he can battle different types of talent and snatch the chain. But fukk that...he beat Shine and got pseudo blackballed. So him grinding for the shyt and keeping his name out there somehow, I am not mad at.

Head Ice was an active battler. The issue with the chain is that he’s stuck battling on KOTD defending it in uninteresting matchups.

It’s obvious he wants to battle, otherwise he wouldn’t accept battles and force KOTD to block them.

The chain is more suited for part time battlers, guys that are content battling once or twice a year, They also have to accept the possibility they may not battle at all.
