What I mean is that battle rap will get a pass for being offensive like Rap music does because folks are accustomed to the genre of Rap being like that

Rap gets a pass because it's catchy imo, you'll let the bullshyt slide because sonically it's still appealing which in turn leads to labels making alot of money and protecting that investment
