Leagues like URL/KOTD have a completely different perspective on battle rap & they say it all the time. It's suppose to be a stepping stone to something else. They provide a platform for the emcee's to showcase their talent. The emcee not only gets to showcase their talent, but they get a chance to network with different emcee's in other states.
If your trying to make a career out of battle rap & battle 20 times a year, signing with the URL isn't a good option. If you actually have goals beyond battle rap, URL will give you the best look. You'll have more opportunities to venture off into something else. If a reality show comes up, your name may be in the hat. May be able to land better features for your music, etc.
ILL Will was gonna pretty much be on every major card. Is he trying to do more than battle rap? If he wants to battle on other cards he's better off not being on the url

If you sign a URL contract at this point then you are a fool. Its like signing to Bad Boy right now then being shocked when puff put out his album and leave you on the shelf. URL is really a shytty run business

Sounds smart to me, we all know Hitman gon put his all into his 1st rd and slowly teeter off as the battle goes on. If I was Surf I wouldn't even put any good shyt in the first, just give Hitman the 1st and cook him da last 2.................which is what most people are sayin happened.
