ARP seems to have this angle where he tries to be a battle rapper friendly type of promoter.

If I had the guap, I'd do this shyt right. You have to build first.. nikkas coming into the game trying to throw the superbowl of events are just fukking up the culture.

RBE.. hopefully they can continue to throw events on a regular basis and build a solid fan base. I swear RBE is the only other league doing it right.

i respect dna and all but i don't think 4 years from now, let alone 2 i wanna hear him battle rap. i know smack aint capable of putting together no contracts for url but as much experience and knowledge beasley has, why hasn't he gotten on that yet with the top talent not them pg dudes.

I don't believe URL/Smack has the cash on hand to deal with their top tiers in this fashion. We don't know the exact numbers but there's no question that it would cost over 6 figures total to sign both DNA & Charlie Clips (together) to exclusive contracts for 2015. The exclusivity from the vets simply costs too much, that's why instead they promote their platform as the only one that matters.

No. No wack battlers, period. I don't care about Surf's fan base, dude is still trash. I'd never book dudes like Surf, Cal, DNA, Daylyt, Goodz and K Shine. Only the best url dudes would get calls from me. Like Hollow, Roc, Clips and Verb. I'd try to mix in the underrated bar dudes on cards with names like those and try to throw some classic events.

The thing is, you got these outside looking in nikkas who are fukking it up. These dudes are trying to get a pay day out the gate.. monkey dudes booking venues with 3k seats and only have 200 ppl show up is not a good look for battlerap. If I'd have the bank, I'd be prepared to take losses from the gate in order to build my brand.

They actually built their league with their own homegrown talent.

I like RBE. Syndicate Cartel as well.

Syndicate cartel is a great league from what I've seen

and although I'm not a huge KOTD fan for instance I hate charron and pat stay their production values are amazing. The official release of Math vs dizaster looked like a damn movie. So I like what KOTD is doing for battle rap as a whole in that sense

The audio on Gorilla warfare has gotten so bad that I hope they either fix the mic issues or fold because they're wasting good battles with the muffled audio and awkward head sets

UW seems hit or miss and mostly a smack knock off but I will say they did a great job with the high stakes PPV

I agree with @Spud34 tho the newly formed leagues that just want to throw a card overnight usually are complete shyt, rex vs hitman holla comes to mind. whatever league that was did not impress at all

The visuals they use on the editing is a bit better then URL's production team unless they get back with 51 Designz to assist Twizz to make every aspect of the footage A-1... KOTD got the best production overall

I never understood why Smack hasn't started to phase himself out as the face of URL.

Maybe I'm too business minded or whatever, but URL can't be branded with Smack's face forever. Even Vince McMahon retired "Mr. McMahon" and let other people play that role.

Nitpicking, but it causes a problem because the URL can't expand the way they should. I dont even think they actually want to expand, but they should. The Arizona event put a lot of their problems on front street. If Smack isn't there its not a "real" URL battle, Beasley had nothing in writing with Teddy Grizzle allowing him to sell the footage to KOTD after branding it as Smack, having to use the same "top tiers" at every event to draw a door, etc. etc.

Smack is doing great right now but like Clips said on AFR, the top tiers are in their 30's. They aren't going to rap forever. Smack can't be a 50 year old drunk man on stage. You'll eventually get kicked out every good venue in NY if your events keep going 7+ hours etc. etc.

Yeah and we have Triple H Stephanie and Kane on tv every week .
