He didn't, he was willing to do it. They were going to do it after Pat Stay/Charron, someone on the KOTD staff even posted "there are 2 battles left" right before Pat Stay v Charron.

on the breakfast club interview with Dame, mook said drake rolled on him tryna do a quick one rounder and mook felt like he was set up cuz it happened out of nowhere and Drake already had bars for him, he was like "man gimme an hour so i can get some rhymes " and by the time he was done Drake's people already convinced him not to do it

basically, if he had bars ready to go at anyone, like they did in the era these old nikkas stake their pride in, he coulda had a one rounder with arguably the biggest nikka in rap right now

i mean seriously Drake has like 518639087 angles to use against him that would fukk him up, and you didn't have ANY bars for this nikka?

THIS IS WHAT MAKES IT SO BAD

In a Mook interview on one of those podcast (i believe psa) months before Blackout even happened, he said he wanted to be prepared for Drake just in case they tried to catch him off guard on some sneaky shyt. He said his fear was that Drake would be prepared, randomly call him out to try to catch him off guard. Sure enough it actually happened as Mook predicted. I give Mook props for being able to anticipate that move, but he saw this coming & wasn't prepared for it at all. He should have been ready, considering both of these guys where at the same place at the same time.

If it wasn't for Mook saying that months ago, I wouldn't consider it an L, but the fact he said he believed Team Drake wanted to catch him off guard & he wasn't prepared for it is just silly especially considering if it were gonna happen, it would be a blackout.

Drake is the bigger star, you do things on his terms.

As I said before, Mook already stated months before the blackout event happened that his fear was that they would try to ambush him. He said he had some material ready. Don't believe me check the archives (either PSA or angryfan late last year).

It's very odd he said this could happen, but wasn't ready for it at Blackout, the most realistic place it could happen at.

Why not have some rounds ready? Mickey keeps rounds & he doesn't even battle.

I find this to be as funny as the next nikka, but I gotta be real.

Even if Mook wrote bars for Drizzy, I gotta be fair and assume he wasn't 100% READY for a battle. You still gotta memorize and rehearse your bars. Just have them written doesn't do shyt for you.

The old era nikkas spit mixtapes bars with 1-2 personals. But Mook is an old era nikka who knows better than to do that now. If he'd have gone up there and got killed by Jennifer Aniston's favorite rapper, he'd be on RvV battling Top for 5k

He would've got more publicity off a one rounder with drake that would've went his way seeing how drake has no big stage experience than anything else he's ever done

I fully understand what they are trying to say, but Mook should have been ready. As soon as Mook said he needed an hour to write, he should have immediately known the battle wasn't gonna happen.

Mook is in his 30s right? One thing about life, especially as you get older when you have an opportunity, you have to jump on it.
