It was probably the round I'd be ok with being called debatable, but not a massacre. For a 2 minute round, Clips hit as hard as Day's 4 minutes or whatever... and much more personal.
It was more personal, and if you're one of those "It only counts when you're directly attacking your opponent the whole round" type of cats, then I can understand liking Clips in that first round. But other than that I can't comprehend that round even being debatable, it was clearly Daylyt's round. "Massacred" was probably an overstatement, Clips did come tough with his first, but Day clearly took that round to me. I have the battle as a whole being debatable, it could go either way to me depending on the day I watch it, definitely a heavy replay battle in my household.

Dude said was going to straight up 3-0 aye verb. Brizz said all of the wrong things in that clip. Verb been shaky lately but ain't no one denying it but he was spreading himself thin with those 4 battles in a month. Until we see a new nikka get up on the stage and give a vet the business, they're all going to get washed.

One thing I'll give you is your blind loyalty to these vets :ehh:

I'm def not one of those type cats, and until recent rewatches I thought Day took it. Rewatching it, and with the knowledge that Day nearly doubled the time limit (debating whether that should matter tho), I though Clips came tough and didn't have any dry spots at all. Day's first had a bit of a dry spot with that new weird style. Crowd gassed it a lot but maybe 30% of those bars were good.

But overall, cook. I can understand your opinion since I had it for a while (about the first, not about Day winning). Cllips laid into Day something serious, especially that third.

Not blind loyalty, realistic thinking.

The only reason to bet against a vet is because you want them to lose.

Why would I bet on dudes with 3 battles in some basements to go on the mainstage for the first time ever and beat guys who have been doing it for years?

You nikkas want it to be Rocky 2 so bad but it won't. It's going to be Rocky 1. Creed wins and Balboa is just happy he survived.
