it's opinions breh. The first half of that round from Lux was just straight spitting. He didn't really get into anything special until the second half. Calicoe's second (aside from the stumble that the crowd fukked him up on) was a lot more consistent.
Hollow already got the crown. nikkas gotta go through other nikka's to get to Hollow. He can battle whoever he wants and get the battle.

the only thing with this is....how long was the rounds supposed to be? Depending on how long the rounds was supposed to be, Lux might've not even gotten to the best part of his first round (had he not choked). Could've still been 2-1 if that happened
But if he spit his whole first, his whole second, and his whole third. I don't think it can be argued it would've been a bodybag.

finally got a chance to listen to the battle and watch
first off props to smack for really putting out a quality product this shyt is amazing to watch.
i dont know, yall want me to change my pick but its hard to, lux just wasnt that impressive to me. can he rap better than calicoe, well of course. but this was a rap battle and lux once again, showed up with a casket, dressed up, women with veils, a summer jam screen, obituaries and what does he do? sound like a retarded dude on poetry night for most of the battle. honestly, that ny crowd saved him cause if he was anywhere else he would have gotten booed out the arena. you lux fans gonna feel like shyt when he has to get in front of a nikka with some real skill and kill his abstract ass. the crowd was cheering to a ton of shyt that didnt deserve a damn sound.
with that said, i do however respect lux message in the 3rd, even though it was a page out of verb book, and will def hand him the 3rd rd. but i cant just declare he clearly won when this is a battle and most the shyt his was spitting was some shyt he could have wrote for any damn body. he need to take most that shyt to def poetry jam, this the url battle rap league, im not trying to hear a ton of over complicated word play, i want to hear some direct punches. he didnt land much.
calicoe just aint that good though. so i cant give him that win. but he did not get bodied and he had some shyt. overall this battle was just okay, cal was better than usual but cant clearly get a win without major skill and in a ny crowd that was clearly going to have lux back regardless. i mean damn the dude rapped 18 more minutes than calicoe. so lux did nothing to show me he some legend. he a great lyricist, got great wordplay but quote this, if lux keep coming like this every battle this shyt will get boring and old very quickly and if he get in front of hollow or any other top tier nikka with that bullshyt he will get killed.
just my opinion, im not going to debate it all night so take it or leave it alone.
