It's funny how a couple NY dudes called themselves top tiers one day and then the whoooooole battle game got fukked up

I miss watching the growth. Watching URL go to Jersey, watching URL go to Detroit, all that stuff. Because those battles, there wasn't a clear cut winner. But when you KEEP going back to NY and you KEEP putting Lux in the big battle... idk man. shyt is 100% lame. Now there can't be no more dudes getting those big battles. But the real reason is not that Lux and them dudes are any better than people from other places.. its just that they're holding their spot down, worried that somebody else is gonna make money. shyt's wack man. If there's not constant cycling of the talent, then shyt gets boring. And thats what URL is right now to me.

Why do you out of towners always want to blame NY for something? The battles are held here for several reasons.

-URL is based in NY
-They have established business relationships with large venues
-They can pack those venues
-The camera and audio people they work with are here

Their entire infrastructure is here and leaving means going through other people to secure venues, hotels, etc.

Plus, who the hell wants to hop on a plane and go to Detroit, Jersey, or St Louis?
