I just think Mook has a figure and if nobody matches it he's not budging. I don't think it's about personal attacks. Someone hitting him with "student loan" bars are going to fail miserably. I mean this a man that is known to have gotten pistol whipped by a nikka and then did a song with him, yet it had zero effect on his brand.

I do agree that he's aware that one loss will end his mystique so he's being selective but I think if Ars offered 100K he'd battle him

Yup. T-Rex has even thrown a couple underhanded jabs at Mook over the years (either implying he's soft, or his resume ain't that ill), Mook hasn't said or done anything to indicate that he cares. The personal attacks don't seem to move him.
Mook realizes the fans will turn on him as soon as they get the opportunity, so he is really focused on the bread.

Exactly. Every interview he says the same thing "Fans are fickle. The only thing consistent is the money. Soon as someone loses a battle, people say they trash. Then they win 3 in a row, now everybody thinks they're the best thing ever"

And he's right. Battle rap fans are just like that.

Second let me flip the question - what real reason is there for any battle rapper to turn down Arsonal for $70k?

It's mid-tier dudes who took ten battles this year and won't clear $70k.

He got offered ARSONAL of all people. On a good day Arsonal is boring and spits filler. Yet Mook won't battle him for 70 racks. Explain that breh.

We must really be hurting for new material, because 75% of the last 2 weeks posts have been about Lux and Mook. Ya'll have to eventually get burned out off that shyt.

Wondering if the Danja/Magic fallout is due to Magics rather lackluster enthusiasm combined with Danja's obvious focus on selling his bars and projecting to the room.

yea i don't give a fukk about the lux/hollow/mook debates in here atm, they're old enough that everyone's already decided their stance so what's the point

and yea i can see Magic looking bland next to Ssj2 Danja magic always struggles against nikkas who sell their bars nowadays (i say nowadays cuz he did beat an animated Tay Roc)

Mook doesn't want to battle Ars for a number of reasons. That $70k was coming from a sponsor and Mook told them bring $100k to the table if they are serious. We all know UW/Ars aren't on the best footing after High Stakes so maybe Mook called his bluff.

Smack and Surf have already publicly said they got the bread for Mook and Mook's all but confirmed that it's a go.

It's all about the money with Mook because the fans are so fickle.

Y'all can try to spin the sh1t however you want but at the end of the day being "selective" is code for "I don't want to battle" which is... DUCKING.

And before TBZ starts defending Mook's nonsense as strategic/ financially motivated etc. Let me just reiterate...

Pricing yourself out = knowing you won't get booked = not battling = DUCKING

Until Mook can show us he has 70k + laying around in an account or shoebox somewhere he's ducking. Thats a huge number for 3 rounds of rapping. I can put on a promote a whole rap show of established artist for 70k and make money. Mook is pricing himself out to add to his legend and see if someone takes the bait like cassidy did.

People keep saying how "good" Surfs music is, and I just don't hear it. His voice is whiny and grating, and he has a hard time staying on beat

His music used to be way better before he switched up his delivery...he still be havin some shyt here and there i just dont know if I could take a whole mixtape of him sounding like he about to cry on the track
