Unpopular Opinions About Battle Rap
I know a lot of these guys are bitter. They want to showcase their talent on the biggest battle rap platform & it will never happen.
A lot of these white emcees in battle rap lose sight of the fact that this is still a black art form. URL is a black league & the url fanbase has no interest in seeing these guys on the URL stage (although there are some exceptions).
Whites are generally more interested in black culture than blacks are into white culture. A KOTD/DF fan will watch an URL battle while a URL fan will skip a KOTD/DF battle. You more likely to encounter a white person listening to "black" music than vice versa.
Man this might sound kind of ignorant, but after thinking long & hard, I can honestly say in general, the black community lacks interest in white people.
Oh & fukk Shotty for attacking the URL. That brand is the reason he even wanted to battle rap.
I do think its dope that SMACK URL is a black owned league and its the top platform. I have to agree with that. But honestly, URL doesn't even give me everything I want to see in battle rap tho. Maybe its because I came from the eras of the Blaze shyt, Scribble Jam, and etc. Still gotta Smack DVD tho that I watch from time to time.
But I have to disagree about Shotty wanting to battle rap just to be on URL. The reason I say that is because of some of his interviews. He just seems like a dude who is into doing this shyt period; besides overseas, its sad to say but they give more of a fukk about hip hop on that 4 elements level than we do in states in this day in age. Now if Bishop is up at a KOTD press conference saying that KOTD is the best league, why can't Shotty say what he's saying? Would it be different if lets say someone from SpitDatHeat, Trap NY, LABG, or another said the same thing? You're right a good portion of white people and other races will not make it on the URL stage. But them talking their shyt.....it is what it is.

Swave was supposed to battle Saga on the Pittsburgh card but it got scrapped. Swave was "told" the battle was gonna happen on the Dec card. But supposedly Chilla vs Saga is happening on that card. Swave was on unbiased sounding bitter about it,.

Saga isn't beating swave or chilla even with his NWXs help. Talk about being between a rock and a hard place. URL gave saga the option of death by multiple stabbings or death by multiple gunshots.
