Unpopular Opinions About Battle Rap
So I watched all of Crown 2 except for TODD vs Young Kannon and JC vs Born. And I have a question. Is it me or did some of those battles feel very low energy? Anyways, my wins and losses so far.
Math Hoffa vs. Bigg K
Bigg K, 2-1. I give the win to Bigg K because he using more angles know and backs them punches. That's hard to beat. I felt like Math could've taken but some of what he was doing wasn't as direct as Bigg K was line for line. But it was a dope battle.
Tsu Surf vs. Aye Verb
Aye Verb, 2-1 or 3-0. I think Aye Verb proved more of why he deserves to battle Lux than Surf proved more of why he deserves to battle Mook. Surf calmed his voice down which made his delivery better; and to be honest, I think I'd like him more in smaller room battles. Verb not only said what alot of people think but even went further with breaking down Surf.
Ill Will vs. K-Shine.
Ill Will 2-1 or 3-0. I don't know what happened but Shine seemed off his game as the rounds went on. Ill Will came off great; seemed like he was pissed about the battle with Calicoe not going down and he took it out on K-Shine. And giving Mack Myrion that look in the battle was dope because, Mack is one of the ones who will finally get well deserved shine next year, imo. K-Shine awkwardly brought in DNA and that was completely weird.
Daylyt vs. O-Red
O-Red 2-1 (debatable). I feel like they both had something to prove. Everytime, Daylyt gets one of these battles, he will go the fukk in. O-Red had to answer to why he hasn't been around; probably the battle with Uno Lavoz made him take a step back, I dunno. I give the battle to O-Red edging it in the third. I think Daylyt was well prepared and he is a different dude when he doesn't give you antics. First two rounds were neck and neck. Wouldn't be surprised if some people gave the battle to Daylyt.
Lady Luck vs. Official
Lady Luck 2-1. Okay, now this battle was semi weird to me because of how Lady Luck approached most of her material. As good as it was, it felt somewhat forced. I think Official was bar heavy but a tad nervous when she was trying to get her shyt off. At the very least though, I give Official Round 1. Lady Luck outperformed her really so in the building you will see that. On cam, Official came with some dope bars but it wasn't enough; surprisingly since she is good on stage.
Big Kannon vs. Charlie Clips
Big Kannon 2-1 or 3-0. Again, clips got flustered about the issue about his pops being brought up in a battle. The freestyles were dope but Big Kannon can not only freetyle as good as Clips, he can write some really dope material. I think the best round was Big Kannon's where it turned it up a notch. One thing when its all said and done, as much shyt as Clips gets for freestyling, he is good at it. Even with the setups and punchlines that can be easy or predictable, still not alot of battle rappers will attempt to do it.

I don't understand where you're finding hypocrisy bruh.
You might have misunderstood me. When I said "K's shyt in the third..." I was talking about him fukking up the battle by getting pissed off at Caustic. If you're suggesting I think K won because Math got in his feelings, than you didn't read my post at all. Math got in his feelings after the battle was over. Like I just posted, it doesn't affect the actual outcome. K's third round carried most of the weight of why I choose him to win.
You can dig in the files for my opinion on Caustic/K, if I even posted one. That battle was kind of a let down on K's side, and ok on Caustic's side (his third was actually some real talk).

^^^^Yeah see, Caustic didn't get credit for doing good in that battle. I actually thought he wasn't bad. He was the only person I ever seen get to Bigg K like that in a battle. And that fukked it up for me. Because I was hoping it would be better.
