nikkas like Craig, Magic, Tay Rock, Rum Nitty, even Bigg K need to work on their set-ups more imo
better set ups equal more haymakers, and also allow you to spread your bars out through all 3 rounds, too many of these bar after bar nikkas front load all of their best shyt to their 1st round, they don't have a choice because they literally punch every other bar to the point where they burn out way faster, most of em be done halfway through their second, then it's mostly filler ortype punches
nikkas like Big T and Goodz mastered the art of the set up, they might only throw 6 legit punches in a round but all them shyts hit hard as hell cuz the set up was so cold, mean while nikkas like b magic spittin 20 punches and only 8 land, and NONE of em are haymakers because he didn't have a set up to build momentum into it
Danja vs. Lottazay is the most recent battle i can think of where the set ups/punches were balanced perfectly all 3 rounds, that's why it felt like he was hittin Lot wit haymaker after haymaker
but i will say since then Danja has been over exxaggerating his set ups too much to the point where if the punch isn't crazy it feels like he just wasted a ton of time
Craig had that problem since Day 1 tho (he also needs to work on his pacing and adding other elements to his skillset outside of just bars but before all that he needs to be able to remember his shyt to begin with)@T-K-G
You have the nerve to say Lamar just needs to remember his shyt while always getting on Msgic for battling Earl.![]()
Has NOTHING to do with "performance."Interesting you say this after saying I have my mind made up on Roc.
To be fair though, I thought Roc was great vs Clips, entertaining vs JC, had a decent first vs Brizz, hype second vs Cal, and a few other decent rounds. That said, I thought Roc was extra average vs Surf, tapered off during Brizz, had two not memorable rounds vs Cal, and trash vs DNA.
But I'm starting to understand that his performance is a big selling point for the fans here and elsewhere. It doesn't land for me for reasons I've probably over explained, and that's cool. Y'all cook.
Magic chilled for about 6 mo this year and still fukked up a lot.Could be real fukkin ugly unless magic chilled for like 6 months.
I've said it before on here, I respect Roc for his prep and consistency.Has NOTHING to do with "performance."
Rocs the most consistent, takes every battle serious and simply raps his ass off.
Im not going to sit around let you hate on someone who brings three good rounds every time when.. jersey.
Has it occurred to anyone that it's been a month since the Guerilla Warfare event and we still don't have any official releases?
Craig had that problem since Day 1 tho (he also needs to work on his pacing and adding other elements to his skillset outside of just bars but before all that he needs to be able to remember his shyt to begin with)
magic started getting fukked up by Earl after Ill Will shook his soul, it aint the same and you know itsame way how Surf didn't really start choking/stumbling like crazy until his Clips battle
Rapgrid ppv's are the worst thing to ever happen. Leagues go to crapgrid, put up the shyttiest footage, expect nyggas to pay for it, & the footage comes out months later.
