On paper, this could have turned out to be a solid battle

This is what dna SHOULD be doing. I was always befuddled as to why someone so talented could be so bad at times.
He just got caught up in the four bar setup-punch wave. I guess it's harder to abandon four bar setups when you can freestyle a whole round of them. Unfortunately for him, his setups were too remedial and sometimes nonsensical to ignore. Once he started punching back to back, he became a problem.
