You guys are all deep into battle rap
Charlie is a great starter kit for new fans. Clear voice, basic bars, not concept-heavy
He does the fundamentals well (except prepare

) he just doesn't go beyond them much
I was watching his Hollow battle with my wife and she didn't even realize he was freestyling. She didn't like that round as much but it wasn't some mortal sin to her like it would be to us
As the cultcha continues to gain fans, he's gonna keep his base but also attract the new fans who have less perspective
That's partially what I was getting at. I guess thats what you can call Clips's "cheat code" for beating alot of people. But what he does works. And the reason why I argue about it is because not alot of battle rappers can do or willing to do what Clips does.
Pretty sure damn near over half of them are scared as fukk to even try to freestyle. LOL.
He clearly lost to Hollow, Charron, Illmaculate, and I give him a debatable against Lux and Serious Jones (don't agree with me, I'm fine with that). BUT he beat the top gunner Tay (twice), Conceited, Surf (who got so much pub), John John Da Don, Hitman Holla, Aye Verb, Oshea, Quill, Tony D, T-Top, Shotgun Suge, Daylyt, Arsonal, and some others I forgot to mention.
I understand what you guys are saying though. When it mattered for him to win, he didn't try as hard in the big battles like Lux and Hollow. But battles that weren't as big, he went all out in them.
