He didn't start in battle raps. You never watched Smack DVDs? They was the most popular DVDs out in the early-mid 2000s. Pretty much every major rap artist has been on them DVDs. He was the camera man. Going through different Hoods, interviewing mainstream to underground artists, getting their names out there. A lot of rappers got famous off them Smack DVDs.

Gotta understand a lot of lil nikkas on this board. nikka prolly 14 or something he was in elementary school when smack was poppin

i just listened to the big t interview on battle rap arena, and i gotta say that the hate for philly rappers from the past is ridiculous, according to big t, gun bars from philly artists won't work in the url really? :what:

99% of url battles involve gun bars, he was better off saying their particular delivery with their raps won't work in the url ( we all know majority of them outside of reign-man, slaughter rico and freeway rap the same)

i think maybe reign-man can stand a chance against some of the competition in the url, reed and meek not so much.....they have that traditional philly style and it'll get old halfway through the 2nd round, i already expect somebody to mock their style in any given round....that's the most obvious angle, but dope if done right.....

he aint hating and i totally agree with t. most of the barz them nikkkas was saying in them battles years ago, won't work in todays battle world. every body spit gun lines but big t was also saying you gotta think out the box nowadays and really spend sum time putting your shyt together. hopefully regin man, hollowman, and whoever else from philly can prove me wrong. i saw a recent battle of kaboom and he actually wasnt that bad but i don't think he can't fuk wit most url nikkas.

DNA is trash

I wouldnt call him trash... But i wouldnt go raving about him... Especially when he freestyles, and kicks into his "you wanna act like" setups... But overall, I can watch his battle and keep it pushin... The only battle of his I ever rewatched was vs Dizaster (I think that was his best day)
