Clips had barbershop jokes, a mediocre scheme about birth control and an overated scheme about a house and that was better than basically getting exposed as a battle rapper?
thing about clips and DNA "freestyle" I dont like is that it becomes corny when its every little thing, like yall dudes apparently like that stretch mark shiiit to me its corny, like if serious took a step forward clips would be like "you take another step Ill shoot at your feet" or some dumb shiit and yall would go crazy?
i was gassed on clips house scheme but bad luck would have it that they would drop chilla vs jc before clips and jones and chilla spit schemes in every round better than the house scheme lol
clips had a great 1st rd but scoring on the battle rap score card, you have to credit jones for his rebuttal and dissecting clips whole act. so i gave the 1st rd to jones from that. and we know what happened in the 3rd rd.
If there's one battler I miss from GT is Fresco, dude was nice when you look past the borderline homo swag. Him low key using guntalk in his later battles was dope too.

On another note, am I the only person who's getting a bit tired of battle rap? I'm like months behind on battles, it's weird. Before I could spend half a day watching KOTD/URL now I'm tired after watching one battle.

Shame Fresco couldnt take being called gay in every battle, so he retired, which is a shame. And he was gettin frustrated in not gettin the battles that he wanted. Which is a common theme with the very good mid tier GT battlers.

I feel the same way. Even tho Battle Rap is at its peak or about to hit its peak, its become boring, because alot of the battles have become on some he said she said BS. Some of the URL battles are just too fukkin long, even longer when the people who are battling dont have the ability to capture the viewers attention and all the stop startin is annoyin as hell. Alot of possible battles get fukked up because of politics or battlers wont battle because they friends and then when they do happen theyre shyt because it took too long to happen. Or the people who been in this era from the start have already battled each other and alot of people dont do rematches. Also these dudes who have had a name due to battling for about 2 years are retiring

it depends, I notice that it isnt as consistent as it used to be with quality as far as URL, GT always had some shytty battles but then if you see a JC vs CJ you get some faith back, I think Rex/Verb might be classic on screen even if it was supposedly a bodybag in the building
