Ok, so without hearing what Angryfan or Piperboy have to say, I gotta say I'm kinda disappointed in the way Roc has been moving as of late.
I think Tay Roc might be getting too mixxy, it's not something that fits his character. I'm a big fan, but it's becoming more difficult to defend his antics. He's threatening dude because he took a shot at him in a battle? Talking about shutting down an event that nyggas paid him to host, and put up hard earned money to put together? Fukk outta here. As far as I know, dude didn't say anything to warrant that type of aggression.
He was Cavegang, then he was Zip Em Up/Cavegang, then he was Dot Mob/Cavegang, now he's Dot Mob/Cavegang/Guntitles....
First he was repping Baltimore, which makes sense, although locals can argue he's from the county, NOT the city of Baltimore. Now he's repping DMV, because the DMV scene is popping. Yes his name brings more light to the scene. But anybody who was putting in ground work before he came around, has a right to feel a way. Especially if you feel like you can throw a tantrum and shut down an event that you were paid to host, simply because a battler threw shots at you.
Tay Roc needs to make that situation right. He can't be a divisive force in that movement. Nor can he really afford to let that scene bubble without his involvement. Look what happened with Cortez & Math. WeGoHard got popping without Cortez or Math stamping that movement, and now that whole brand has infiltrated URL. That's a whole league that could have been pushing for Math & Cortez to get better looks on URL. And frankly, Math & Cor's influence would have helped those guys become better overall battlers. But instead, Tsu Surf is god to them nyggaz. Not like Surf ever did anything for that movement either, but they like his style, and relate to him more.
Personally, I think Roc has to fix this shyt before he sees Hollow. Surf's total lack of humility doesn't affect how fans respond to him. Surf is still doing dynamic things. But I don't know if Roc will get that same treatment. I think there are other fans like myself that are more open to Hollow telling Roc about himself. Or maybe the fans who loved the gritty, dirty Tay Roc will adjust and give him the Hollywood treatment. We will see.
