I can't front.....I was an avid supporter of Roc getting his respect a loooong time ago. And I'm glad he finally made it. But I agree.....he definitely is different now that he got up with Surf. I think he should just still be extended fan with Dot Mob and continually build Cave Gang. Wont say ditch Guntitles but only leave that up to when he does 2 on 2s with Surf.
On another note, I rewatched a few battles today because I don't do it often enough. Was rethinking how I see them.
Marv Won vs. Cortez ---- One of my fav. battles of all time till this day. I still got Marv 2-1 or 3-0. Tez the bars and performance but some of what he said was gassed. I think Marv's approach to the battle and the way he landed his punches just worked for him on camera in the end. Aside from his battles with Dizaster and Uno Lavoz, I feel like this was one of his best performances.
Aye Verb vs. Goodz ---- Yeah, this is the one battle I can admit that Goodz lost. Verb needed to go in on him and this was way after the NY hates me shyt he was on. Can't say it was a bodybag but I think Goodz not starting out in the 1st round strong hurt him. That iron low line that Ave took in this battle will hurt him later on. And I forgot about Goodz's Bambi line; yeah, that fell flat.
Head ICE vs. Pat Stay ---- I edged this battle to Head ICE, 2-1. It was funnier than what I remembered seeing from last time. I think this was around when I started questioning more of why I didn't see ICE on Smack URL too much as well. I remembered the Tech 9 battle being hilarious for other reasons but it got me confused because I thought ICE was a mainstay though they had other heads on the roster. Anyways, I gave ICE the 1st and the 3rd with Pat taking the 2nd.
Uno Lavoz vs. Kaliente ---- I followed Uno in GT a lot. Especially when he was in GT Upstate NY and in GT DMV. Was glad to see him make it to one of the World Domination events. Kaliente was one of the lower tier guys in KOTD but made a little bit of a name for himself (but that came to a halt once he lost to Tyc00n Tax). Kaliente got the decision but he was boring with a few good lines. Uno's 2nd and 3rd had some good haymakers but his drunken act made his shyt sloppy at times, too. fukk that, Uno 2-1, because he was more entertaining. Lol.
