All battles need to get dropped unless there is a technical issue of some sort.

Anyone that doesn't agree simply has no faith in the culture by itself being able to pack a venue.
And fails to realize that the same culture actually organically made it to be able to have SM2 without worrying about ticketsales that way

Roc got BODIED coming into URL, yet look how much more intriguing his come up is.
It's a part of WHY he's been a fan favorite for so long.
You take away that element in his career and his whole perception would be totally different (wether good or bad doesn't matter)
You can tell that body haunted him.

That was one of the realest shyt he said in that AFR episode.
Roc is the clear example of having a body on your record will show what cloth you're cut from.
It's one of the reasons why I love to see that nikka battle, he's one of the examples of why I love battlerap

A nikka like GE is a victim of politics.
The nikka BODIED Calicoe right after he beat Math.
If nikkas woulda seen that, he might've been a star today (the fact it COULD'VE been the case that nikkas should focus on)
To make a counterargument to that sayin "well, he should do it again then" is wrong too.
Because that was his moment.
Yet URL played politics to protect Calicoe to gain momentum for his battle with Lux, which is WRONG.
Calicoe should've been able to battle Lux with that body on him. nikkas in the DVD era did the same thing. Like Mickey Factz said "if you had a body on you, you couldn't come outside for about 3 MONTHS. nobody would see you, until you were ready.
URL shoulda rewarded GE by dropping the battle, cause he earned it.
If needed by droppin the battle after the Lux battle.
And I know another argument some nikkas prolly gon say "but Calicoe was drunk"
Who TF cares, that's not GE's problem. He shoulda been a professional.
That was GE's moment, but URL took it from him.
Instead of trying to make a new potential star like "Chess, Brizz, Top" back then

Just like Clips bodying Roc was his moment.
Mook bodying Young Hot was his moment.
Lux bodying Miles was his moment
Etc
It was WRONG to take that from him.

Cortez like Danny said is another victim of vaulted battles.
There are numerous battles that showcase his "moments" that nikkas never seen.

And the funny thing is. There's a big parallel you can make between Surf and Cortez.

Whenever nikkas critize Surf for having a shyt load of L's and debatables nikkas always go back to that
"But he bodied Brixx"
Imagine that battle never seeing the light of day, shyt would be different for him.

If Cortez' bodies woulda been seen I even believe that battle with Roc wouldn't have been the point where both their careers perception wise would go in opposite directions.
Cause a lotta nikkas forget, Roc and Cortez were about even goin into that battle.

After that, Roc battled B Magic in a classic, bodied Ill Will and became a crowd favorite.

Meanwhile Cortez became known for being Vaulted and ran into Guardian Angel Verb.

So with no bodies to defend his perception, nikkas started clowning son
and we know how nikkas view him right now

So yeah, with all that being said.
All battles need to be dropped unless there's a technical issue.
If it's a random tryout or PG or sumn they should just drop it in another channel

See, we're getting somewhere. This is why I said Danny had the best solution even though certain individuals think otherwise. In someone like Cortez's situation, I think that does apply because with three battles vaulted, he technically has leverage. You can't turn around and ask him for a favor to battle an up and comer when he has battles on his resume thye public did not get to check out.



Thank you. There should be a balance between the league saving face and the battler's career. I'm sorry, I just can't completely side with the leagues on this one. Or the battle rappers who may lose and do shyt to not have the footage come out. Everybody takes a loss, b. It is what it is.

For you to get vaulted as much as Cortez has, that means clearly URL doesn't give a fukk about you like that. Tez an OG and all, I'm sure you can find a couple of Mexicans who will call him a legend even, but I don't think URL would care if Cortez never battled on their platform again. If they offered him a PG as a "favor" and he turned it down because they vaulted his battles in the past, Beasley probably doesn't even text him back.

At this point I don't think anybody really wants to see that battle because Verb is "good". They just want to see if Lux is willing to travel to St. Louis to do the battle.

Battlers and battles are so wack nowadays to the point where the whole battle zone is agreeing to a matchup I thought of years ago.

JC should've cooked Lux years ago.. smh

Won't have to pay him 40k. Could probably get away with giving him 10k. Which would be a leagues dream. Whereas if you trying to do a lux vs let's say hitman, you would have to come with about 30k for hitman or someone on that level.
