I would love to see the battle we've never seen Lux go against a pen heavy opponent like that and I remember when SM2 happened everybody was saying either Lux or JC had top performance of the weekend I just can't imagine a NY crowd let somebody from the Midwest get a fair shake against someone as loved as Lux they gonna gas everything Lux say but on camera i can't call it which speaks volumes for how good a writer JC is

The closest lux has gotten to battling a guy who can match him lyrically is hollow, and the result, we got a classic.

That is why I don't mind jc, verb, b dot, rum nitty, guys like that to start throwing they names in the hat to battle lux. Don't mean the battle will happen even this year but it puts them on a course and if they can stand tall and step they games up understanding that what comes at the end of that level is a lux battle, we could see the best from them for the next year or so then get a classic battle down the line with lux in there.

My issue with some of yall is you get insulted when someone dares challenges lux. In battle rap you can't put people in that box. Lux has been one of the few old era guys to come in today and have good showings. You place him in that box and you get what you get, a battle that will more than likely be a bad one, vs some damn ars. Next battle will be some more bullshyt like him battling dizaster or Jae millz smh. Going to kotd and battling iron Solomon
Don't nobody want to see that shyt. Lux vs jc, lux vs verb, lux vs hell even tay roc got more potential to be a damn classic than just continuing to align lux with names connected to old smack era.

Hollow being lyrical had nothing to do with that battle becoming a classic though. Hollow does probably five things JC doesn't do that made that battle intriguing, and if it was just about their actual bars from the battle, then everyone would've had Lux in a body. That's the reason people are so resistant to the idea of JC battling/beating Lux; it's not as though people won't entertain anyone battling Lux, or even guys not considered of "that level". You don't get the same kind of resistance for people bringing up Goodz, Verb, Daylyt (at least the resistance about Daylyt is a totally different story), B. Dot even.

Mook's probably lost over a million dollars hanging on to this legacy. If he's not going to start his own league or platform then does it matter if you pop out every 5 years to get a check? As Battle Truth said, when that major money was in battle rap Mook should have signed a 5 battle deal with someone instead of trying to get it all at once.

These guys really act as if Lux is ducking pen guys.

Most pen guys don't have the charisma or performance to become top tier, which means there aren't too many scenarios that will come up when a guy like lux is going to face a pen guy.

I've always said my favorite emcees are pen guys that can perform well. Guys like lux, verb, and big t. I don't like daylyt, but he's in that category. There are not many battle rappers in that lane. So you have 4 pen guys that can raise there performance to a high level and provide entertainment. The fans will always rather see lux vs verb/daylyt for those reasons.

JC is in the same lane as chilla, born, qp etc. These are bar guys.

The way Chilla performed against Prep almost made me think he could switch to that "pen guy that can perform" lane, but that was a one off.
