I was hype before I realized they definitely are writing this battle together

It's an extra incentive to come to the event. If I pay flight, hotel, and pay to get in, why shouldn't I be rewarded? You are still getting 5 battles for way less than that.
The surprise battle is also typically a way to get some deserving guys on the card, as well as minimize the views their battle would lose due to the ppv.

I did. Almost got tickets but the card is kinda weak to me.
Chilla/Illmac, Ars/ Iron and Pat Stay/ Bigg K are all fire matches. Not much interest in the rest
