The one thing that irritates me the most, is people who clearly not about a street life, still trying to show they off the block. SmhEverybody from everywhere is tough.
These people run a battle rap league, and you got 1 guy saying "I ain't into this battle rap shyt like that" and another the chick saying I just don't give a fukk. If you don't care go away. If you so street why you trying to earn dollars in battle rap? It's the same shyt I got when I went my nephew college campus. Most kids are straight but you got these groups of young black kids , in fukking college, still trying to act like they off the block?!?!
From that standpoint I feel where angry fan is coming from. All this "we will take shyt to the street" attitude some of these guys display is laughable.
I grew up with real street dudes, they wasn't trying to run battle leagues or go to college. And nothing wrong with people going the eggy mule route, and cleaning your whole act up.
"Street dudes" respect that more than being in to some other shyt productive but still trying to act like you from the street. Smh

Just being the newest face for Smack/URL. That's it. Just adds as an accolade pretty much. Doesn't mean he's in running to be the greatest, shown he's capable being labeled the greatest. Its just majority thought, when you think of URL 8 or 9 times outta 10 Surf is the first name mentioned.
Just as in the Smack era the first name that came to mind to represent 8 times outta 10 is Mook.

Roc deserves the "mook label" more than anyone. There was never a time where surf was winning battles clearly, even when he was having back to back classic battles. Surf also, had choked in 80% of his battles. But at the same time, I do get the point. Like 70% of new battle rappers model their aggression and performance off of what surf does. Even roc over his career has tried to perform like surf and even sounds like him at times. Surf is influential but he ain't no damn mook.

Mook "wins battles" is only on his comeback which is only 3 battles (two with real battlers). I can make a case Mook lost every Smack battle he was in.
