Yup. Dude was a standout and was doing numbers right off the bat.
After we saw him on Smack, we saw him at all the events showing love. Smack is not buying him tickets for all types of random battle events just to be there. He/his team is responsible for that.
So now the other battlers admire him, and aren't ashamed to say it. Now on top of having fans, he gets fan support from other battlers.
The match-ups he's getting aren't particularly strategic. We see what URL was trying to do with Chess, I love Chess skillset but URL is trying to force him on the public. URL is trying to make Chef Trez a big name as well, he did one big thing on URL, but he hasn't been all that impressive otherwise. Prep is another person who we could see is still getting a push. TheSaga was getting a push, but that's over with now. You can even say Gjonaj had a push. Dude was like #1 draft pick status, and held out after his PG. They let him hop on stage at Summer Madness and call out Dizaster, after a dope PG performance.
I can go on and on, but all this is happening because people just love Twork. I don't see what URL did besides notice how popular he was getting & force him onto whatever card they had next.
