I was somewhat amused but there's a clear double standard at play, and I'm guilty of it as well.

Let Beasley do something petty.... yeah he's underhanded but most of the time he's somewhat clever with it. It's almost a shtick.

Now if Norbes does something this petty, we want to take his head off.

It has everything to do with the fact that I can relate to Beasley better than I can relate to Norbes. Norbes has done a lot, but listening to him defend his viewpoints has always been such an unenjoyable experience. That's another post though.

In a way, the trailer highlights why this "Loso shouldn't do a PG" argument is a waste of time. URL got their way in every other instance. They have no reason to play softball with Loso, regardless of his previous "accomplishments".

There's nothing really wrong with double standards though. The fact of the matter is Beasley is simply more likeable than Norbes (or, rather, Norbes is so much more UNlikable than everyone else in the game) so his fukkery can be entertained.

So then maybe Norbes isn't as big of a problem as some fans make him out to be. I just think it's wild to see people try to rationalize what seems to be such a simple issue in other ways. To many he comes across as an unlikable person, so the criticism of him is harsher than it is of other people. But to treat him as if he's some type of enemy of battle rap culture is absurd.

That's a fair comment and I totally understand where you're coming from. My interpretation was more 'You used to put numbers in the NBA, you did your thing in Europe but welcome back to the NBA' with a little on the side. It's a bit braggadocious but that's Beasely all over, more hilarious than disrespectful imo
