They so quick to wax poetics on how it used to be, but when some throwback shyt happens they get salty, shyt the entire premise of Smack vol. 1 was bringin it back to how it used to be


And they only do it when the opponent is doing good

If you watched the entire event you woulda seen how calling time created a weird vibe, especially with it being the last battle

stick to the time limit if the contract gives you a 15-30 leeway then use it but other than that come with the bars structured to the time limit. These dudes need to quit thinking their opponent is gonna give them the chance to let off some more fire material for rapping longer when they stuck to the time limit.

very few battles i remember with the opponent letting the dude going well over the time limit and he was fine with it.

Lux said fukk a time limit at SM2 and we got the GOAT performance. Clips let Daylyt go and we got one of his best rounds ever. Ill Will letting Tay Roc go led to one of the GOAT rounds. I respect the follow the rules idea (though it rings hollow for guys who rap about crimes they commit for a living) but dudes calling time when they’re getting cooked has always made me shake my head as a fan.
