This isn't true at all and really shows that you guys only care about URL. There's street style battles dropping by the dozens every day.

90% of battle rap doesn't talk about these battles. That is the problem, the bloggers attached themselves SO MUCH to URL that it bit them in the ass. Piper even said when his channel comes off the strikes he's either going to sell it or remove all the content that has URL stuff in it.

Female battle rap is dead, KOTD got a Russian fanbase that doesn't watch battles, Black Ice is dead, Gorilla Warfare is dead, Hennyman turned into NORE, The Trap is pushing the same 4-5 guys they always do (free DOT) and RBE just had a brawl at an event.

The only non-URL league I see moving out here is Dre Dennis' league and we already talked about their battles. If there is another league out here we need to be watching please let me know.

Edit: Didn't include UW because they only throw a few events and Bullpen for some reason feels like a club/event throwers and not battling. Maybe just me though.

I had no clue Ty Law was signed to Ruff Ryders when he was 16 years old. He has a long history.

It's interesting. I always used to think he was biting JR Writer a little, but now I realize they are basically from the same era, especially if he was with Ruff Ryders.

Cute but I don’t really watch this set of bloggers like that. I just don’t have an issue with them being discussed, as it’s all part of battle rap.

I’ve already explained why bloggers got so popular. When there was no PPV, it allowed plenty of discussion to speculate on who won the battle. We were waiting on battles to drop like they were new cd’s dropping on a Tuesday. Now with PPV’s here to stay, most of the battle discussion takes place the day of the event.

I really recommend some posters checking out the tbz on PPV days. I’m seeing a lot of whining, but I have yet to see someone drop a battle to check out. A lot of whining, but nyggas aren’t changing the discussion to drop a battle.
