I thought Mack was fiya in the Real Deal Battle but that shyt was gas to me

That wasnt what I was referring to but Red's material in 2017 >> Cortez's. He choked against Ave and still made it debatable, and he choked against Showoff and still put him in a bodybag. All his other performances were clean

Red in 2017 even with the chokes was a 100x times better than DNA and Cortez material combined.

It's just one of those things that's easy to argue against though. It's hard to say a guy was the top battler of the year when he choked (twice?) in his biggest bodybag that year, and choked in probably his most competitive battle that year, no matter how well you did the rest of the year when there's other guys out here battling too, putting on great performances as well, but being CLEAN with theirs. FWIW, I had Roc as the top battler of the year, but I can certainly see where Cortez is coming from even though I personally had Roc then Red.

Yeah, that’s just where the disagreement comes in I guess. I look at Cortez and Red’s material as comparable enough for Cortez to feel that way. My personal argument was always for Roc though. So if you replace Cortez with Roc, that’s more of where I’m coming from.

I know this my point is that maybe he should notch it down if he can't get through it. Red is dope, but I think there is a real argument against him for COTY. One stumble/choke is one thing, but multiple?
