Everything Math said on Black Compass about Nems getting celebrity treatment at EOW was on point. I used to be out there all the time, that's where I met Math & Nems. All the rappers used to have to sign that list and wait their turn to rock on the open mic. Nems would go straight to the stage and get red carpet treatment.
I remember one time Nems was outside scrapping, left a dude leaking and went straight to the stage and bodied a freestyle. Then he dipped out before the police came.
He really was what all these other white street battlers aspire to be, he would walk into a room and the energy would change. But on the flip side, he had that Sno thing where he spits 100x variations of the same verse. It was entertaining, but too heavy on shock value.
The Ice v Nems battle might be cool, but as a whole the whole Nems phenomenon won't make much sense if you weren't there.
It's almost like bringing Jae Millz back.
Jae Millz was a final level boss, what he did to Ness on Making Da Band was scary. Ness got choked out on that show, but it was somehow less damaging than the Millz verse. Murda Mook re-invented battle rap & brought cheerleaders just to compete with Millz. But if we saw him announced on a card today? Ehhhh

As a fan I'm going to keep it real. Jai caught me out there AT LEAST three times. Dude be talking that talk and I'm sitting there like
"Jai might catch a body on the next one, they better not play with him"
I damn near have to start taking some responsibility for his failures now.
And since I'm here.....
I like him as a media guy, but DI Da Hennyman isn't a good battler. He has a movement, but I just hope he has some honest people around him. His sidekick needs to find a better way to.... everything.

Hennyman doesn’t really mesh well with this current era of battle rapping. I like him as a media guy and he has a ton of personality but he’s better suited for the old URL battles.
