I really don't see it. Surf wouldn't get as much money to battle Nitty as he would get to battle Mook, because that battle simply isn't as wanted. MAYBE he could finesse a situation with Lux and get near that type of money, but that's about it.

URL needs Surf to sell tickets. This is a fact.
The problem is when he asks for comparable money to Mook when he doesn't bring that mainstream attention to the battle. Mook got Omar Epps tweeting about RBE. Surf doesn't do that. He can only get closer to that level by trashing Mook on URL... how do you not see this?

Thats what it comes down to. If someone shows a record of fukking up the product, which is the battle with chokes and not finishing rounds, that will effect future profits. If you want to look at it from a business standpoint.

Lux was light years ahead lyrically, but star power and it factor and charisma are real things. This is why I say if Clips had the work ethic, he'd be GOAT.
What amazes me is how often things are overlooked on the first watch during the live experience. After the battle was over, I said Lux 3-0'd him. A lot of people were giving Clips that first round off the first watch.
I just notice things. After JC/Nitty, I felt that JC didn't kill him at all. The footage drops later, and the consensus is it wasn't as bad as people believe initially.
What I'm trying to say is I don't see many people that watch during the live experience, and have that same consistent opinion when it officially drops. They really get caught up in the moment.
Yes but it's not a significant advantage when the guy standing across from you has those things as well. A lot of people thought Clips could overwhelm Lux with those attributes, and plus you got the fact that Lux tends not to get crowd reaction at times. However, once we actually saw the battle, Clips just couldn't overwhelm him with his star power and presence. Even Verb thought Lux would lose. "You take Clips in a room, you die."
