I disagree. You can be lyrical, but not super complex. Nobody said his pen was god tier, but he has had moments of brilliance.
I was really disappointed he didn't beat Hollow. I honestly think clips can take it to another place when he's in a zone that Hollow can't go. I'm sure there are plenty that won't agree.
I think that battle is debatable, leaning towards Clips but I like Clips, and think Hollow is the most overrated Mr. Rushmore candidate besides Dizaster, so maybe it's preference. You want to talk about a nikka that gets away with trash bars but people fukk with, Hollow is your man. His 1st was strong, but he had dry spots and trash bars all over the place.

He said that about Rex too. Rex agreed to do the same initially, but then he backtracked.
Ultimately we can all assume why he was pushing the "no personals" thing.
Something I peeped when looking back through Clips resume. He was 15 battles in on camera before he battled another New Yorker, and that's debatable because that NY'er was Con. His next battle vs a NY guy was John John, who is another friend.
Then when he started getting asked about battling some people from Harlem, it was "no personals" hahahahaha. Dude is smooth.
Clips/Rex was initially a “money move” battle for both guys because it was gonna be on Duel in the Desert. The guy reached out to the URL to do the event. Once the URL acquired the battle, Rex wanted to take a totally different approach to make himself look good. It really backfired. Eventually KOTD did the event.
