I’m gonna be objective on Cassidy. If this happens on a large stage, he dies badly. We saw what happened on night 1 of Ether. It takes experience to battle in front of that many people. It took some of the vets several events to figure it out. I still don’t think Math has figured it out yet imo.

His best chance is on a Smack Vol card, which is similar to the setting he beat Dizaster in. I’ll be honest, he pretty much had everything but bars. He was overly prepared. He had so much material, the fact that he already spit his first round the night before didn’t even matter. Diz ran outta gas and admitted he didn’t have enough material for the 2nd battle, because he didn’t expect there to be a second battle.

I’m not excited about Cassidy. I think he has all the attributes, but he’s never gonna battle enough to put it all together.

Let’s take Reed. He FINALLY put it together after all these years in the Rex battle. It took him several battles just to get acclimated.

Iron came back, and took the safest battle which was Daylyt of course. He still sounded outdated in that battle. He kept battling and now look at him. He even acknowledged he still needs to work on his performance to be ready for a guy like Hitman.

Serius Jones doesn’t even sound outdated anymore, because of all the battles he took on those small stages.

It’s all about experience man. If you just plan to come in, and disappear for a few years and come back, you can stay away from battle rap. It just creates bad battles.

I’m speaking from a fan perspective on this topic. I think Lux would be so much better if he were active. He was damn near unwatchable against Arsonal and Mook. Even a talented guy like Lux needs experience. He’s getting by on talent, but if we are going to be objective, we have no idea what we are going to get from him when he comes on stage. He’ll definitely be prepared, but is he gonna be great? Or is he gonna come like he did in his last battle?
i think this is fair, i get why the overwhelming cocensus even amongst battle fans was that diz lost for those reasons of choking obviously, and just looking visibly flustered and cassidys impression of diz was actually a crazy haymaker, one of the few things i did like that he did in the battle. and diz wasnt great but the bars were just so on a different level of trash with cass, like we criticized the fukk out of Mooks shyt vs Verb but his material is light years better than what cass said to diz, so thats why i clearly admit im in the minority but i cant give cass that battle saying shyt like shooting heroin in your dikk im dope as fukk, and pek a boo bars and " i pop shyt thats why i pop shyt" or whatever trash ass shyt he was saying, if he had his prescense in the small room and composure and all that but with even mooks bars vs verb, then i have a completely different opinion

A1 post. Agree with every point.

Lux in particular would benefit from making 1 big stage and 1 smaller setting appearance every 12-14 months. A 50% success rate battling that often is still conducive to classics/bodys that keep him top dog. His glow (and checks) probably rely equally on his scarcity and skill. If he has another bad showing, that glow ebbs. If he has a bad showing AND his opponent has a good one, he might find himself stuck.

I only watched the battle once. I basically viewed it as sort of debatable, but slightly edged Cassidy.

I felt Cassidy beat Dizaster via Professionalism. It may sound crazy, but you can win battles by Professionalism. What I mean but that is coming consistent for 3 rounds, no chokes, & extremely prepared.

It's the best way to beat a guy like Diz, because he has a tendency to be very sloppy.

Let's take Mook/Verb. Most people felt Mook was going to win. Why? Because he's more professional, which is pretty much how he wins his battles. There hasn't been anything outstanding about him. He was just very professional with ample material, no chokes, and consistency. Verb would come with short rounds and stumbles. However, Verb was prepared and won the battle.

The fact that you can even win by Professionalism just illustrates how many battlers are unprofessional (choking, stumbling, short rounds, last minute preparation, etc).

This is really how Serius Jones goes around winning battles.

I think Hollow has found the right balance, who is someone that could be viewed in that tier.

I unsubscribed from QOTR about over a year ago. I see that nygga Debo was on Champion. Before I listen to this nygga try to sell this new card, I went to QOTR's channel, and watched the trailer, which apparently dropped a month ago.

This is not acceptable. This card is like the equivalent of an ascension, and one of their only cards this year that I'm aware of.

QOTR fell off so hard, I bet the female vets view it as a bad look just to battle on there. QOTR is looking like the female version of AHAT right now. Now I'll watch Debo try to sell the fans on this card.

The sad thing is Debo talking about this card on Champion will probably get more views then the actual battles, despite the fact he has 192k followers.

Not really a reason for him to advertise this. Did he reveal this on a blog? Twitter?
I agree. But most of these nikkas live for that.

And yeah, he mentioned it in the Eulogy blog against Battle Truth. Basically saying he doesn't promote the fact that he grew up a Blood and in one of the roughest places in America in the 90s. (He showed his Blood cross Tattoo, that he covered up), he rather talk about shyt he's proud of (Getting a real job, moving his family to the suburbs) while Battle Truth is a 45 year old man bragging up the fact he's a criminal while being a Christian at the same time.

He's not weird at all to me. He's probably the most logical blogger in the game. Even more than Jay Black
Battlerapmedia was fine when it was lead by JayBlac, Chris Unbias and CAPS

You had JayBlac being the funny analyst
Chris bein the detailed documentator
CAPS bein the unpolitical direct wildcard w/ a radioshow

And even then you had
Luke the historian
Reel Reviews the voice of reason
CJ City the bar analyst

All of these nikkas had they own fanbase and even when CAPS and Chris went at it there was always respect there.
nikkas never got flagged, even when AFM vs Unbias popped off

CAPS the unpolitical wildcard (with AFM)
Chris the Documentation (with Unbias)
