Question for everyone regarding RBE

Do you prefer when RBE was actively throwing events?

Or do you prefer the "less events, big cards" approach this year?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the November card will be their 3rd event.
If battle rap dyin', I let this cape flip and save shyt

Just watched QP vs Young Kannon, one of the more entertaining battles I've seen. QP doing almost a whole rd clowning Kannon's shoes :russ:. When his wordplay is really cooking :wow:. Also good performance from Kannon with a lot of his bars landing :ehh:

They dont need to marry themselves to the big battle format

Mostly because URL has way more money to play that game if they want to,

RBE is supposed to be home to
1. the guys who either dont want to deal with URL contracts
2. Guys who did somethin to ruin that relationship
3. Matchups that the URL would never book due to marketing/politics

I like RBE's "big" events mostly because they don't feel like actual big events (barring the obvious headliners recently). The matchups are still quality and have that small-room feel wrt to bars, and I think that causes the battlers to prioritize their content over performance. Not saying performance isn't important, but big stage variables tend to suck the rap out of battlerap. RBE's balance allows both without dilution.

So you prefer less events?

With RBE, it’s either one or the other. We can give you events consistently or we can do these “big” events, but as a result, there won’t be as many battles.

I think I do prefer less. A few years ago I would have been on the other side of this, but high quantity-low quality has been one of the primary reasons I fell behind on battlerap.

RBE doing less events doesn’t equate to quality battles though. The battlers they use are pretty active, and can have battles booked near their RBE’s dates anyway, so one could argue the amount of events doesn’t matter as far as quality.

He's not weird at all to me. He's probably the most logical blogger in the game. Even more than Jay Black

Jon is def one of the more normal/smarter bloggers, and is pretty entertaining. Don't lump him with these other weirdos

He breaks down alot of shyt well. Even if you disagree with him, at the very least, he makes his point clear. And plus, his YouTube live joints are poppin'.

His podcast with Pritt and Teflon is pretty funny, too. Them nikkas roast each other sooooo bad.

I agree. But most of these nikkas live for that.

And yeah, he mentioned it in the Eulogy blog against Battle Truth. Basically saying he doesn't promote the fact that he grew up a Blood and in one of the roughest places in America in the 90s. (He showed his Blood cross Tattoo, that he covered up), he rather talk about shyt he's proud of (Getting a real job, moving his family to the suburbs) while Battle Truth is a 45 year old man bragging up the fact he's a criminal while being a Christian at the same time.

He stays putting Battle Truth in a bodybag. LOL. Between him and Pritt, I'm not sure who has done dude more dirty.

URL's commitment to the battle series formats (BL, small room, Smack vol. 1,2) moved into that space the I felt RBE was occupying well thus RBE having too many events per calendar runs a higher than usual/before risk of getting half-efforts. This is what feeds my opinion that a couple strong cards has a higher probability of producing good battles.

I'm of the opinion that RBE events, regardless of who they employ, have had a higher percentage of battles that aren't flops. Understand that my standard is unfortunately low, so I used "aren't flops" on purpose. There's not as much choking, gas (arguable), and washed up legends diluting the battles.
