I see your angle and thought process, but I just don't agree. Let's say I entertain that the URL appoints the Champion of the Year.
As it stands right now, you could justify not giving Shine COTY. All booking Shine would do is potentially increase his overall resume/argument for this year. If he beats a really strong opponent, it really helps put to rest the "weak strength of schedule" argument that many of us have.
A closed room event is not gonna bury Shine. Bigg K was already finished heading in Vol.1.

Yea i was gonna say the same thing. Geechi has a great argument for coty already. Only thing booking shine vs geechi does is give shine the ammo he needs to take coty clearly. If URL was trying to deny him that then booking the battle to begin with is dumb. Or are we really gonna say Shine isn't capable of beating geechi?

Suge didn't fall off at all. He could've came harder against Twork and Geechi but I wouldn't say he fell off.
Suge is a glorified gatekeeper. He never beat anyone great, he comes with short rounds, he recycles and refurbishes material ALL the time. He kicks mid tier ass, but if you're a top tier on your A game, you'll beat him.
Big man is always going to be entertaining, I just know not to take him seriously as a battler anymore.
