I really wish Jayblac had someone compile stuff for COTY to help people make their decisions. If strength of schedule is a factor, have somebody compile a list of a bunch of the battle rappers and their schedule for 2019. Could've even thrown that out there for the battle rap community to do it for him to make it easier for everyone lol.
The whole COTY is a mess. I’ve said that last two years that they should have a top 25, similar to college basketball/football, to have some sort of base for the strength of schedule.
For example, last year, all the guys in their top 20 should have been ranked that way going into the year 2020. You then put out the rankings every 3 months or some shyt. That let’s the battlers know where they’re at so they can target higher ranked opponents and go harder. The entire intent for this is for the fans to get better battles. I could care less about who wins it.
Instead, they vote on their top 20 at the end from scratch. Like how are you gonna do this if there’s no strength of schedule to even begin with? We are talking about what I would consider the most important criteria in determining COTY.
