“All I got for this character is sticks (characteristics).”

Jesus Christ, Danny. :scust:

Dead-Sea-map.jpg

You influenced these nikkas, but I don’t buy this
You got everybody shaking hands during a virus
Violence, I spark at ya homie til his head leaks
It’s biblical once I lay Jerooz/Jerusalem next to the dead C (sea)

- Danny Myers vs TWORK

Danny’s delivery needs polishing, but he be saying some off the wall fire shyt every now and again

Based on how Nome is setup, I think Verb is going to clearly beat Geechi, either 3-0 or 2-1.

Geechi says some cold shyt but he’s far from a quiet room type of nygga. Listening to him against Chilla really exposed that.

This setup is not for him.

Verb is just going to sound better.

Geechi isn’t nearly as lyrical as Verb. We all know that.

However I wouldn’t completely count him out in a small or quiet room setting.

He flourishes more on the big stage - true, but I distinctly remember him holding his own in that rooftop joint vs. Rum.

I didn’t say small room setting

I said quiet room setting, which this is basically due to smack telling everyone to stay home

This is basically no crowd

This is an interesting considering Geechi was at his BEST in a small room to me

215 Uptown!
Danny's got a pen but his delivery is horrid and his style is too try hard for me.

I wanna like him but I cant. Dude is corny.

My exact thoughts on Myers. I always noticed the lyrical skill set. But he’s missing everything else. But fire bars are fire bars and when he spits something crazy I acknowledge it. That summer madness bar was ridiculous

Aye this remains one of the funniest pre battle back and forths I've seen.

"You really told a nikka I'll leave y'all all flat like most bytches like their chicken wings...what the fukk."

"How hard that hit in the building?"

"So because bytches like flat chicken wings that makes the bar fire? That shyt was ASS."

Maybe I’m biased because his matches against Surf, Suge, plus his first round against Roc were some of his best performances. In my opinion.

But Geechi be talking that shyt regardless. Big stage, small room - whatever. Fam is consistent across the board.

If you read my post again, I said small OR quiet room. Not just small.

oh I read it

You used Geechi /Rum Nitty a small room battle to illustrate your point when there’s basically no crowd for this one

it’s a significant difference

Like I said in a previous post, Geechi is consistent no matter the venue. So...what are we really debating here?

Verb will likely shine more in a quiet room if he comes with that wax poetic type shyt he’s been doing lately.

So again, what is there to debate?

It’s been shown numerous times you don’t need to be extra lyrical to be effective in a small room setting. However, it truly matters in a quiet room setting.

Geechi was not that dope against chilla

what are you not understanding here?

yeah those are the exact things that are keeping him from the main stages. Solid bars but no breath control or presence.

My exact thoughts on Myers. I always noticed the lyrical skill set. But he’s missing everything else. But fire bars are fire bars and when he spits something crazy I acknowledge it. That summer madness bar was ridiculous

I gotta disagree on the delivery thing somewhat, too. Main reason for me is that he stands out; his style isn't for everyone but me, I get it. Just hear me out, not saying what you all are saying is bullshyt; just offering perspective. No one can say that Danny whenever he has battled what he does sound like so and so in the way he delivered it or even wrote it. I would hate for Danny to all of a sudden like he had Rum Nitty help him write and deliver his shyt. Or he all of sudden battles like B Dot, Illmac, or whoever else.

Plus, Danny just like some others who work hard in the game like a Cortez...nikkas need an angle on or find something wrong with them. Just from what I have observed. If its not his delivery...its his writing...or its his personal life...or something else. In all honesty, I feel like it makes him more interesting because he stood out amongst a lot of talent in the game. Let's be real...that 12K to Rex thing should've gotten him outta here. The whole kids thing...that should've gotten him outta here. His age...that could've gotten him outta here but maybe not so much since we have guys like Head ICE, Moon, Swave and a few other OGs still around. His wife's drug addiction...that would've made a lot of the talent fold under pressure. See, sometimes its not about what the battle rapper gives you to effect the crowd. It's about the hits you can take as a professional on that stage from the main stage to the small room. And also, how you come back from it.

I feel like if you can't fukk with him and he has done some shyt that made you nod your head like ok that was fire....then he did something right at this point.

nygga everyone is at their best in a small room

these quarantine battles are completely different then your typical small room battle and if you come in there talking about “you couldn’t sell tickets/Celtics” bull shyt with no one there it’s gonna sound terrible.
